Grow Jamaica: The Visionary Legacy of Reverend Leeroy Campbell
"Grow Jamaica" stands as the enduring legacy of Reverend Leeroy James Campbell, a trailblazer who dedicated his life to unveiling the vast potential of ganja.

Through his groundbreaking book 'Grow Jamaica: A comprehensive look at the economic, social and spiritual impact of the cannabis (ganja) industry in Jamaica (Ocho Rios, Bright Morning Star Press, 2002) and our award-winning documentary, Campbell highlighted the plant’s ability to transform lives as food, fibre, fuel, and medicine, while challenging decades of misconceptions and prohibition.

An outspoken activist and freedom fighter he left Jamaica and opened the first cannabis cafe in Vancouver in the 1960s whilst leading the campaign to 'Overgrow the Government'.

Married to Janice Campbell, the sister of Mark Emery, Brother Leeroy campaigned for Marks release from jail for selling cannabis seeds and for the decriminalistaion of the plant.

Along with fellow Jamaican activists, such as Dr Lampard, his work delved into the legal, economic, and medical benefits of cannabis, making a powerful case for its legalisation on his return to Jamaica.

Featuring insights from prominent figures like Stephen Marley and Oliver Samuels, the documentary earned global acclaim and ignited a movement for progress and sustainability.
